When my husband & I started dating, I knew we were meant to be because he loves breakfast as much as I do. This past year for Christmas, one of the girls got him the Hamilton Beach Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker. She found it on Amazon! It’s amazing!! Seriously, whoever thought of this little contraption is an absolute freaking genius. (I’m so sad it wasn’t me!)

I have never believed in New Years Resolutions, but I told this girls this year I have a couple focuses: First, we are going to make sure we use what we buy so that food doesn’t go to waste. Second, we are going to make what we can from scratch. Enter the HB Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker. It takes less than 10 minutes to make the girls’ breakfasts on a busy school day. And they’re fresh not frozen with no weird preservatives or additives. And you can change it up!

All you do is plug it in & layer your ingredients. Then set the timer & POOF! Epic. Yumminess.

At first I was using English muffins. Then I got creative:

Lay the bread down first. This bread is rosemary parmesan bread. It’s wide so I cut-to-fit.
Add the cheese. This is Tillamook medium cheddar. Mmmmmmmm.
Add the meat. This is uncured turkey bacon. Then close the little circle thing on top of it.
Crack the egg on top of the little circle thing.
Lay the top layer of bread on top of the cracked egg. Close the lid.
At Set the timer for 5.5 minutes. That’s it!
See how perfectly golden brown the bread got? Holy Coconino. It’s DELISH.
This one is Canadian bacon with Gouda on an English muffin.
This one is smoked salmon & havarti on an English muffin.

I have to say, the thing I love best about the HB Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker is that it’s so easy to clean! Wipe it down & you’re done.

Side note, have you ever seen the anatomy of an egg? I bring it up because what’s left on the little circle thing that cooks the egg in this sandwich looks like a piece of paper but I think it’s one of the membranes that’s right inside the shell. Just a guess but I think so. Check out the anatomy here. It’s interesting! I know, I’m weird…

Anyway… When I finally get my dream of owning a bed & breakfast in the Pacific Northwest, these awesome babies are going on the menu. 🙂
